This Privacy Notice for dzzness ("we," "us," or "our") describes how and why we access, collect, store, use, and/or share ("process") your information when you use our games site ("Services"), including when you visit or play at https://dzzness.com or engage with us in other related ways. We are responsible for deciding how your information is processed. If you do not agree with our policies, please do not use the Services. Questions? Contact us at support@dzzness.com.
Summary of key points
What we process: the Discord profile you log in with (user ID, username, avatar) and the game data you create (a bio you optionally set, your in-game coins, points, chosen character, and guesses).
Sensitive information: we do not process any.
Payments: there are none. Nothing is for sale, and in-game coins have no monetary value and cannot be bought, sold, or cashed out.
Third-party data: we do not collect information about you from third parties, other than the Discord profile you choose to log in with.
Cookies: we use only cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you logged in. No analytics, advertising, or tracking — so there is no cookie banner.
How we process it: to run the games, keep your account, keep the Services secure, and comply with law.
Your rights: depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your information. You can delete your account yourself at any time.
1. What information do we collect?
When you log in with Discord, we receive from Discord:
your Discord user ID
your Discord username
your Discord avatar
We request only Discord's identify scope, so we do not receive your email address, your servers, your messages, or anything else in your Discord account.
As you play, we store, tied to your Discord user ID:
a bio you optionally write
your chosen character and equipped cosmetics (trails, auras)
your coins, points, XP, and guesses, plus a record of coin changes so balances are explainable
cosmetics you have unlocked, items such as feedback skips, and game results such as labyrinth solve times
whether you have been banned from a particular game
If you submit a track during a feedback round on a participating Discord server, we also store that submission (the link, and your Discord name and avatar at the time), and it may be shown publicly on that game's wheel while the round runs. Deleting your account here anonymises those submissions too.
Sensitive information. We do not process sensitive information.
Payment data. We do not sell anything and do not collect or process any payment information. In-game coins are a fictional score with no real-world value.
Social login data. You register and log in using your Discord account, and we receive the profile information above. See section 6 below.
2. How do we process your information?
To create and manage your account and log you in.
To operate the games and show you and other players moving around the shared field.
To keep the Services secure and prevent cheating and abuse.
To comply with our legal obligations.
To protect an individual's vital interests where necessary.
3. What legal bases do we rely on? (EU / UK)
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR we rely on:
Consent — you can withdraw it at any time by deleting your account or asking us to remove your data.
Legitimate interests — to run a working, fair game and keep it secure.
Legal obligations — where processing is necessary to comply with law.
Vital interests — where necessary to protect someone's life.
4. When and with whom do we share your information?
We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. It reaches only:
Discord, when you log in (governed by Discord’s own privacy policy).
Our hosting provider, who runs the server on our behalf.
Other players in your field, who see your public character, chosen name, avatar, and cosmetics while you play.
Visitors of a game’s wheel page, who can see the name and avatar attached to feedback-round submissions while a round runs.
A successor, in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
5. Do we use cookies?
We use only cookies that are strictly necessary for the Services to work: a session cookie to keep you logged in, and a short-lived cookie used during login for security. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner to click through.
6. How do we handle your social logins?
Our Services let you register and log in using your Discord account. When you do, we receive the profile information described in section 1 (your Discord user ID, username, and avatar). We use it only for the purposes described in this Notice. We do not control, and are not responsible for, Discord's own use of your information — please review Discord's privacy notice.
7. Is your information transferred internationally?
Our servers are located in the European Union. If you are outside the EU, your information will be processed on our servers there. We take appropriate measures to protect your information in accordance with this Notice and applicable law.
8. How long do we keep your information?
We keep your information for as long as you have an account. If you delete your account, we remove information that identifies you (your name, avatar, and bio) and anonymise any game statistics we retain, so they can no longer be linked to you. Short-lived server logs are kept only briefly.
9. How do we keep your information safe?
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Do we collect information from minors?
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. You must be at least 13 to use Discord, and therefore to use the Services. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact support@dzzness.com and we will delete it.
11. What are your privacy rights?
Depending on where you live (including the EEA, UK, Switzerland, Canada, and some US states), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your information, and to withdraw consent. You can delete your account yourself at any time in your account settings, or contact us at support@dzzness.com. EU/UK residents may also complain to their local data protection authority.
12. Controls for Do-Not-Track features
No uniform Do-Not-Track standard has been finalised, and because we do no tracking, DNT signals have no effect on us.
13. US state privacy rights
Residents of certain US states may have rights to know about, access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of their personal data, and to non-discrimination for exercising those rights. We have not sold or shared personal information in the past 12 months, and we will not. To exercise these rights, email support@dzzness.com.
14. Do we make updates to this notice?
Yes. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date at the top, and we may notify you by posting a notice on the site.
15. How can you contact us?
The controller responsible for your information is dzzness. You can reach us by email at support@dzzness.com; our full postal address is given in the Impressum.
16. Review, update, or delete your data
You can review and change your bio and character in your account settings, and download a copy of all the data we hold about you as a JSON file there at any time. You can also delete your account from the same place. You may additionally email support@dzzness.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information.
